FAQ

About the challenge

1. What is the Belgium Gravel Series?

The Dusty Gravel Series is a unique gravel challenge consisting of four events from April to September, integrated into major and high-quality events in Wallonia. This challenge is aimed at all gravel enthusiasts, whether they are amateurs or passionate riders, and allows participants to accumulate points to track their progress and take on a sporting challenge.

2. What types of courses are there?

Each event offers two distances, ranging from 60 to 120 km, with varied elevation gains to suit all levels. The courses pass through forests, valleys, and hills, combining technical climbs with fun descents.

3. Is it an individual or team challenge?

The Dusty Gravel Series is primarily an individual challenge. However, nothing stops you from participating with friends or in a group to share the adventure.

Participation and registration

4. Do I need to participate in all the events?

No, it is not mandatory to participate in all the races. However, the more events you join, the greater your chances of accumulating points and reaching your personal goals or climbing the overall leaderboard.

5. How do I register?

To register, visit the respective event websites. You will find the links for each event directly on our official site, which will redirect you to the corresponding registration platforms.

6. Can I change my distance or cancel my participation?

To change your distance or cancel your participation, check the respective event website. The cancellation and exchange conditions are specified there and may vary depending on the event organizers.

Point and ranking system

9. How does the points system work?

Points are awarded to each participant who finishes a race, based on their time and the distance covered. The more demanding the courses you choose and the better you perform, the more points you accumulate! Check the 2025 Chart section for more details on the points for each race.

8. What happens if I don’t finish a race?

Points are only awarded to participants who cross the finish line. This recognizes your commitment and effort all the way to the end of the course.

9. Where can I check my points?

A general ranking will be regularly updated on our website after each event. You’ll be able to track your progress and compare your points with those of other participants.

10. Are there rewards?

Every participant who finishes a race receives a valuable reward: the satisfaction of having pushed your limits and (re)discovered an inspiring discipline. For those who excel throughout the season, special distinctions await the top performers at the end of the challenge.

Regulation and equipment

11. Are electric bikes allowed?

Electric bikes are not allowed for this challenge in order to ensure fairness between participants.

12. What should I bring on race day?

A gravel bike in good condition, a mandatory helmet, and all the necessary gear to handle the conditions of the course (water bottle, repair kit, appropriate clothing). A complete list will be provided before each event.
